My Training and Education
I am an IACP accredited psychotherapist working with adults. I hold an MSc in Psychotherapy, a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a BA in Theology and Psychology, and a Diploma in Group Work. I am also a trained EMDR practitioner. I have over ten years of experience in private practice, I have worked in social care settings with children in residential care homes, women in refuges, and children and adults experiencing homelessness and addiction. I have also worked with the HSE, the ISPCC, several homeless service providers, and Sr. Stanislaus Kennedy at the Sanctuary, Stanhope Street, Dublin.
My Approach
My approach is client-centred, integrative, non-judgemental, and collaborative. I have a neuro affirmative practice which supports diversity and provides a safe space for all clients. I work with each person’s individual needs and provide a safe, neutral space to reflect on past experiences, present challenges, and future possibilities.
I am committed to supporting people through life’s challenges with care, compassion, and professionalism. My experience as an EMDR therapist supports clients to fully recover from trauma and allows me to offer a trauma-informed approach tailored to each client’s needs and experiences. I remain committed to ongoing professional development, regular supervision, and continued learning so that I can offer the best possible support to the people I work with. My aim is to support healing that goes beyond recovery and leads to genuine flourishing.
