About Me
I am an MIACP accredited Gestalt psychotherapist and psychologist with extensive clinical experience in trauma-focused therapy across diverse international settings. My practice is centred on providing a compassionate, client-centred, culturally sensitive, and inclusive space where safety and stabilization are prioritized. I specialize in attachment trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and dissociative disorders. By focusing on the gradual integration of traumatic experiences, I help clients navigate their healing journey at their own pace within a collaborative, non-judgmental environment. I am deeply committed to cultural competence and work affirmatively with neurodivergent individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing the unique strengths and challenges each person brings.
Psychotherapy Education and Training
My academic foundation includes a master’s degree in psychology (MA) and a PhD in Biomedicine and Health Sciences, alongside full accreditation as a Gestalt Psychotherapist. Driven by a commitment to continual learning and a deeper understanding of complex trauma, I completed extensive specialized clinical training to earn accreditations as an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner and a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My qualifications further include a Master Practitioner Diploma in Eating Disorders & Obesity from the National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED, UK), a Certificate in Hypnotherapy from the College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, London, and specialist training in the Structural Theory of Dissociation, which directly informs my clinical work with complex trauma and dissociative presentations.
My Experience and Specialist Areas
My clinical experience spans psychiatric hospitals, community mental health services, forensic settings, educational institutions, and counselling centres across multiple countries and cultures. This diverse background provides me with a broad, systemic understanding of how trauma, identity, and cultural background intersect across different life stages and communities. In my practice, I integrate EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Gestalt therapy within a trauma-informed framework to help clients process distressing memories, regulate the nervous system, resolve survival responses, foster present-moment awareness, and restore an internal sense of safety and embodiment.
